Smera Productions is based in San Jose, California.

Its latest film WHAT IF is complete and is ready for distribution. Its next features, SHANTI and SOMNIPHOBIA are currently in pre-production. SHANTI will be filmed in Pune (near Mumbai, India) and SOMNIPHOBIA in Detroit, Michigan  Its first feature length film is CULT. The movie opened and was showcased in the New York International Film and Video Festival, December 2000. Its second feature film, LOVE, opened in Central California in July, 2003, receiving a range of acclaim and awards and is currently available on Netflix. Hari Mahesh, Producer and Director is one of the principals of the company.
