Millions
of dollars
in corporate revenues for MediaKnight can
not buy President Joe Barnes the sense of
contentment he craves. Loss of his wife to
suicide last year and a hasty remarriage has
left him guilt ridden, frustrated and
unsatisfied. He
seeks meaning at the Heavenly Reunion
Spiritual Organization... more commonly
referred to as
“that Cult” by Joe’s wife Sylvia and Joe’s
best friend, Rahul. Both Rahul and Sylvia
work with Joe. Their strong opinions about
the personal and professional toll that the
cult is taking on Joe drive Joe further
away.
But Joe gets more than he bargains for when
he along with thirty cult members drinks tea
laced with Phenobarbital as part of the
Cult’s mission to outer space mandate.
Sylvia, Rahul and other employees of
MediaKnight cope with their grief plus do
damage control as the stock price plummets
in the wake of the tragedy and the ensuing
scandal.
Yvonne a cult member who was visiting
relatives at the time of the mass suicide
returns and is devastated because she was
left behind. When she shows up at
MediaKnight asking questions, the
MediaKnight employees close ranks... all
except the new CFO Tom. Yvonne’s concerns
are enough to arouse Tom’s suspicions and
together they uncover a trail of phantom
warehouses, missing documents and false
financials. Ultimately their search leads
them face to face with a killer who will
stop at nothing to satisfy a lust for
revenge.
